The Gores Group and Global Tel*Link Announce Acquisition of Verizon Business' Department of Corrections Division

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The Gores Group, a leading private investment and management firm, announced today that its affiliate Global Tel*Link Corp. has signed an agreement with Verizon Business to acquire the former MCI's division serving corrections facilities.
The former MCI corrections division provides managed telecommunications services to state and county departments of correction, including customer service, call equipment management, billing and IT capabilities. These services enable inmates to communicate with friends, family members, legal counsel and other approved parties outside the correctional facilities. The division provides services to 11 states and some county agencies.
Verizon sold its corrections business in 2005.

Posted by deana palmer on 01/07/2008, 19:16 tried for 2 hours to get someon to talk to .. when i did finally get someone they had very little english and i couldn't understand him.. he was nice and i told him i was sorry but you should make sure if a person pushes they need english in order to talk then please keep people that speak english ava. |
