Russia's Gazprom and Serbia are to sign a memorandum on the construction of a 250-mile gas pipeline from Bulgaria to Croatia, media reports said.
Milutin Prodanovic, deputy Serbian Energy minister, said the pipeline is to supply Russian natural gas to the southeastern European region and EU countries, the Serbian news agency Tanjug said Friday.
The Serbian government and the Gazprom gas company are to sign the memorandum on a greenfield investment next week.
The pipeline should ensure the stable supply of gas to Serbia's large industrial producers and for heating of household consumers, the reports said.
