Electric Light & Power Magazine Names MidAmerican Energy Holdings Company the 2006 Utility of the Year

MidAmerican Energy Holdings Company has been named the 2006 Utility of the Year by Electric Light & Power magazine, one of the pre-eminent publications in the utility industry.
"This year's selection has all the characteristics of a real winner: It has distinguished itself from others in its class, it's held in respect by those who deal with it, and its accomplishments are noteworthy," wrote Electric Light & Power managing editor Nancy Spring in the publication's November-December issue cover story.
In a thank you letter to employees from David Sokol, chairman and chief executive officer of MidAmerican Energy Holdings Company and Greg Abel, president of MidAmerican Energy Holdings Company, Sokol gives all the credit for this distinguished award to employees.
