PriceEnergy Adding Solar to Its Energy Products
ROCKAWAY, N.J., Dec. 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — PriceEnergy will soon offer solar energy systems to its residential and commercial customers, including solar hot water systems, solar electric systems and home energy efficiency audits. Solar energy will be offered beginning in the first quarter of 2007 in portions of New Jersey and New York.
Through a multi-year agreement with leading solar provider The Solar Center (Denville, NJ), PriceEnergy has launched its initiative to add renewable energy to its traditional energy products. “PriceEnergy’s mission is to provide our customers with reliable, innovative and efficient energy products,” stated John Vrabel, PriceEnergy Chief Operating Officer. “Solar energy is just the first renewable energy system we will offer our customers. We are fortunate that we are able to combine the advances in solar technology along with attractive state rebates, and put a marketing agreement in place with the experts at The Solar Center to bring quality solar energy systems to our customers,” added Vrabel.
PriceEnergy, which serves over 40,000 heating oil customers in the Northeast U.S., will initially target homeowners in the greater New York metropolitan area, including Nassau and Westchester counties in New York and the northeast counties of New Jersey. State supported rebate programs in New York and New Jersey are generating considerable growth in the installation of solar energy systems, reducing the cost of most installations for homeowners and making solar systems easily obtainable. PriceEnergy’s solar program is expected to expand to other states in the Northeast U.S. as rebate programs and consumer demand continues to grow.
