Somalia Reopens Airspace

The prime minister of the Transitional Federal Government of Somalia [TFG], Ali Muhammad Gedi, has announced the resumption of air traffic to airports in Mogadishu after last week’s closure of the country’s airspace.
Speaking during a press conference held at his residence in Mogadishu, Gedi said from now onwards air traffic can resume. He said the unusual flights that do not connect Somalia to the rest of the world should seek for authorization from the Aviation Ministry of the TFG. [Passage omitted]
