Continental Trio ‘in Bid to Rival

BA’ A EUROPEAN transcontinental super airline to rival British Airways could be formed via a three-way combination of Italian state carrier Alitalia with Air France and KLM of Holland. Reports from Italy suggest the already-merged Air France-KLM are preparing to bid for up to 49% of Alitalia in an Italian government share sale of the troubled flag carrier.
