Vodafone Move Alarms Investor

AMERICAN fund manager State Street, which holds about 1.7% of Vodafone, has said the company should be prepared to quit the Pounds 10 billion bid battle for Indian mobile phones group Hutchison Essar rather than overpay.
State Street raised the alarm after it became apparent Voda chief executive Arun Sarin is prepared to up the stakes.
