Paulsen and Whitley Teaming Up With G.O.A.L. International at New Concert Group Logistics Miami Station

Posted on: Tuesday, 9 January 2007, 15:00 CST

Concert Group Logistics (CGL), a Downers Grove, Illinois-based leader in transportation logistics, opened its Miami office in late September 2006 with Leighton Paulsen and Heber Whitley as owners. Together the pair has more than 40 combined years of experience in the Latin America marketplace; Paulsen has successfully run similar operations in Puerto Rico and Whitley has experience in and around Brazil.

The Miami station also partners with G.O.A.L. International to provide a deeper reach throughout Latin America.

Previously, Paulsen and Whitley worked for the San Juan and Charlotte CGL stations. They will use their experience in Miami to plan, organize and manage activities for CGL by augmenting its domestic and international transportation services with an increased knowledge and presence within the Latin American market.

Paulsen explains that such relationships are key to capitalizing on new opportunities. "Beginning with our relationship with G.O.A.L. International, a strategic partnership that is going to allow us to offer all CGL stations a gateway to the Latin American market, and with our own relationships built in those areas over past years we are able to serve as a proven resource for CGL."

Gerry Post, president at CGL adds, "Miami is a gateway market not just for Florida but for the U.S. in terms of trade and commerce within Latin America. This station is an integral part of our network because it provides the strong support necessary to act as a gateway for all stations in dealing with the opportunities in Latin America."

Miami is one of the busiest ports in the nation, and the largest in Florida with more than 300 Fortune 500 and multinational corporations headquartered there.
