Belarus Notifies Russia of Resumed Oil Transit to Europe

Homel, 11 January: The plant Homeltransnafta Druzhba has started pumping Russian oil to Europe via the territory of Belarus, the director-general of Homeltransnafta Druzhba, Alyaksey Kastsyuchenka, has said.

“At 2235 Moscow time Homeltransnafta Druzhba sent [a letter], signed by its director, notifying the company Transneft and the Druzhba trunk oil pipeline (Bryansk) of the fact that the transit of oil to Poland, Germany, Ukraine, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Hungary has begun, according to plan and the agreements reached,” Kastsyuchenka said in Homel on Thursday [11 January].
