JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Jan. 12 /PRNewswire/ — Tony Ingram, CSX Transportation (CSXT) executive vice president and chief operating officer, has appointed Cindy Sanborn as the railroad’s vice president-Northern Region, succeeding Tony Tuchek, a veteran transportation executive who has retired. The appointment is effective immediately.
Sanborn was assistant vice president-network operations in Jacksonville, her latest key operations post. As vice president-Northern Region, she is responsible for safety, and for coordinating operations and service across divisions based at Albany, N.Y.; Baltimore, Md.; Cincinnati, Ohio; Indianapolis, Ind.; and Chicago, Ill.

Sanborn joined CSXT in 1987 and has worked in a wide range of transportation positions. In previous assignments, she has headed up the Detroit and Baltimore divisions and has served as general manager of the Florida Business Unit before it was integrated into the Jacksonville Division. In her network operations role, Sanborn has improved the distribution and utilization of the company’s fleet of nearly 3,800 locomotives.
