Record-High Airport Use International Traveler / Update: HONG KONG

Airport Authority Hong Kong, operator of Asia’s third-busiest airport, said the number of passengers it handled rose to a record 44.45 million last year, 9.1 percent higher than in 2005. The authority is boosting capacity by spending 4.5 billion Hong Kong dollars, or $577 million, by 2010 to add facilities. It is expected to open a second terminal this year.
