Arrowhead Global Solutions, Inc., CEO and Chairman – Mary Ann Elliott is Named to Satellite Hall of Fame
FAIRFAX, Va., Jan. 16 /PRNewswire/ — Mary Ann Elliott, CEO and Chairman of Arrowhead Global Solutions, Inc. (Arrowhead), has been named to the Society of Satellite Professionals International (SSPI) Hall of Fame. She is only the second female to be honored among this elite group of individuals. The recognition ceremony will be held in conjunction with the SSPI annual Gala to be held at the Grand Hyatt, Washington, D.C., February 20.
Elliott is one of the nation’s top female executives, and a recognized expert in satellite telecommunications. The recipient of many honors and awards, she was named among the 40 most influential people in global defense, aerospace and national security by Defense Daily, one of only two women so honored. She is the author of two books on satellite communications, and a frequent lecturer on the topic.
Elliott has been an active participant in the wireless communications revolution for three decades. In the 1970s she entered the field working for Motorola in the traditional wireless terrestrial market. She then moved into the emerging technology field of satellite navigation and communications. Prior to starting Arrowhead in 1991, she held management positions with COMSAT International, Contel’s American Satellite Division, Talon Technology and Navidyne. Today, Arrowhead is a premier provider of integrated communication network solutions with a strong track record of success in serving the government sector. Elliott’s heritage includes the Native American Tuscarora and Lumbee Indian tribes of Robeson County, North Carolina. She has three children, four grandchildren, and resides in Northern Virginia.
