British director Guy Ritchie will make his first foray into U.S. television with an ABC crime drama pilot.
Ritchie, who directed Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch, is scheduled to direct Suspects, which looks at all possible suspects of a crime before revealing the person who did it, Zap2it.com said. He will also serve as an executive producer.
Ed Zuckerman, long associated with Law & Order and JAG, is writing the pilot and will serve as an executive producer, along with Sarah Timberman and Carl Beverly. Sony Pictures TV is producing along with Timberman and Beverly's company, 25C.
Ritchie, who's married to Madonna, has one other TV project on his resume -- an adaptation of Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels that aired in Britain in 2000.
