TrendSetter Solar Products and CMARK International Enter into Discussions Concerning Federal Government Representation

Posted on: Tuesday, 23 January 2007, 09:00 CST

TrendSetter Solar Products (OTCPK:TSSP) and CMARK International, Inc. (OTCPK:CMKI) today announced the opening of discussions for a strategic alliance.

TrendSetter Solar Products, Inc., a premier Manufacturer of Solar Thermal (hot water), storage tanks and systems, and CMARK International a Service Disabled Veteran owned company that specializes in liaising sales of a wide variety of products and services to the Federal Government are negotiating to establish a sales teaming agreement.

The alliance will give TrendSetter's much greater exposure in the government procurement process as they are a leader in their solar storage solutions and designs and one a few companies in the solar thermal systems arena. Their unique advantage lies in the Federal Energy Bill mandating that government operations adopt renewable energy and energy conservation measures.

The alliance utilizes CMARK's advantage, which is found within the opportunity of the Federal Services Disabled Vets Program. The program mandates that 3% of the $300B Federal Procurement Budget (2006) is earmarked to be spent annually on top-notch, Service Disabled Veteran companies. These discussions are centered on CMARK exclusively spearheading TrendSetter's Federal Government sales campaign.

Dirk Atkinson, CEO of TrendSetter, states, "CMKI is our pipeline to the Federal Government, providing us with priority consideration in the bidding process. This marketing strategy augments our efforts as most solar companies have focused on the solar electric (PV or photovoltaic) segment of the alternative energy market, whereas TrendSetter has focused on the solar thermal category. TSSP will likely be one a short list of solar thermal vendors bidding in many of the government situations. With CMKI leading, we expect the synergy of our two companies to streamline our government sales efforts. Once our government clients connect with the practicalities of the TrendSetter renewable energy purchases and the payback understood, their application and implementation will become commonplace. This will further provide the opportunity for respectable profit margins for both of our companies."

President and CEO of CMARK, Charles Jones Jr. remarks: "We at CMARK are looking forward to forging an agreement with TrendSetter, with an eye towards memorializing these discussions with a formal contract immediately. It is a fair assessment that by working together, both companies benefit, wherein CMKI provides TrendSetter an edge in competitive bidding situations; TSSP provides proprietary, solar technology in an un-crowded energy space that also helps the Federal Government fulfill its '5% green mandate quota.'"
