ANA to Abolish Domestic Flights on 6 Routes
Tokyo, Jan. 25 (Jiji Press)–All Nippon Airways said Thursday it will abolish domestic flights on six unprofitable routes as part of a fiscal 2007 flight realignment plan designed to ensure profitability at a time of higher fuel costs.
The six routes include those between the Kansai and Miyazaki airports and the Kobe and Niigata airports.
However, flights will be increased on eight profitable routes, including those between the Haneda and Kobe airports and the Chubu and New Chitose airports.
As for international flights, ANA will resume the route connecting Narita International Airport and India’s Mumbai after a suspension of more than five years, in a bid to explore demand from business users.
In addition, ANA will increase flights on the route between Narita and China’s Guangzhou.END
