Bookies See Executive ; Sinn Fein’s Historic Vote for Police
January 29, 2007
BOOKMAKERS last night slashed the odds on a new power-sharing administration at Stormont.
Ireland’s biggest bookies Paddy Power said it was 1/2 that the DUP and Sinn Fein would enter government together.
That means a pounds 10 wager would earn just pounds 5.
It’s now 6/4 that there will not be a deal.
Spokeswoman Sharon McHugh said: “Tonight’s historic vote makes a power sharing government in Ireland more likely, and we’ve released odds to reflect this.”
