AirAsia Keeps Fuel Levies As It Monitors Prices International Traveler / Update: KUALA LUMPUR

AirAsia said that it was maintaining fuel surcharges for now as it monitors the drop in jet fuel prices before lowering the levies. Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific Airways and Qantas Airways have started cutting surcharges as the price of jet fuel price declined about a quarter from a record in August.

Singapore Airlines said Monday that it planned to cut fuel levies by as much as 11 percent. Thai Airways said it would cut fuel surcharges following the announcement by Singapore Airlines.
