Midwest Airlines Enhances Ft. Myers and San Francisco Service As Part of 2007 Strategic Growth Plan

MILWAUKEE, Feb. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Midwest Airlines today announced schedule enhancements on two popular routes as part of its 2007 strategic growth plan. The airline will expand its seasonal Ft. Myers, Fla. service from seasonal to year-round, and also increase the duration of its nonstop seasonal service between Milwaukee and San Francisco. The new service is part of Midwest's previously announced long-term business plan, which includes route expansion and equipment upgrades featuring at least six new destinations and as many as 12 new routes in 2007.
On May 1, Midwest will expand Ft. Myers service from seasonal to year- round. During the peak winter travel season, the airline will continue to offer nonstop service from both Milwaukee and Kansas City. The rest of the year, service will be offered nonstop from Kansas City with easy connections from other cities, including Milwaukee.
Also in 2007, Midwest will offer its seasonal nonstop service between Milwaukee and San Francisco from May 1 through October 31 -- two months longer than in 2006. The seasonal service is in addition to existing year-round service between Milwaukee and San Francisco via Kansas City.
Nonstop flights between Kansas City and Ft. Myers operate as Midwest Airlines Signature Service. Midwest's new Boeing 717 aircraft feature two-by- two leather seating, extra legroom, and Recaro seats with adjustable headrests and footrests. Nonstop Milwaukee-Ft. Myers and Milwaukee-San Francisco flights are operated as Midwest Airlines Saver Service, with low fares to leisure destinations. Seating is arranged in a two-by-three configuration with generous legroom for extra passenger comfort. Onboard service on both Signature and Saver flights includes complimentary soft drinks, packaged snacks and baked-onboard chocolate chip cookies, with the airline's buy- onboard Best Care Cuisine available for purchase. DigEplayer portable inflight entertainment systems are also offered for rent on longer flights.
"Midwest's service to Ft. Myers has always been popular with our customers. The Southwest Florida region has developed to the point that year- round service now makes sense," said Scott R. Dickson, senior vice president and chief marketing officer. "Similarly, Milwaukee-San Francisco nonstop service was extremely well received last summer. We are pleased to offer it again -- and for two months longer than last year."

Midwest Airlines features jet service throughout the United States, including Milwaukee's most daily nonstop flights and best schedule to major destinations. Catering primarily to business travelers and discerning leisure travelers, the airline earned its reputation as "The best care in the air" by providing passengers with impeccable service and onboard amenities at competitive fares. Skyway Airlines, Inc. -- Midwest's wholly owned subsidiary -- operates as Midwest Connect and offers connections to Midwest Airlines as well as point-to-point service between select markets on regional jet and
turboprop aircraft. Together, the airlines offer service to 49 cities. More information is available at http://www.midwestairlines.com/.
