Sharyland Selects EC Power for EDI Processing and CIS Hosting Services
EC Power is delighted to announce the implementation of their integrated EDI data processing services and CIS hosted solution for Sharyland Utilities, L.P. Sharyland Utilities is a Transmission and Distribution Service Provider (TDSP) in the Texas retail energy market. After a thorough assessment of EDI solutions offered in the retail energy market, Sharyland Utilities selected EC Power to assist with the wide range of customer data processing requirements needed for supporting the participating competitive retailers in Texas.
“Throughout the RFP process of selecting a possible EDI provider, EC Power stood out from the crowd as the transaction volume leader in Texas,” reports Mark Caskey, Sharyland Utilities’ General Manager. “EC Power brought us on-line as planned with no interruptions to our business or customers. It has been a good match for us.”
As a part of the relationship, EC Power will be responsible for processing Sharyland’s customer data in the Texas deregulated energy market. This includes support for all EDI transaction sets, management of transmission media, trading partner support, market support and certification testing, translation and mapping services, and miscellaneous data processing services required for Sharyland to serve their retail electricity customers. EC Power will also provide CIS hosting services. This includes hardware/software hosting, change control management, production migration plans, first level support for CIS system, and monitoring tools for all transaction monitoring and reconciliation.
