MOSCOW. Feb 1 (Interfax) – No more electricity shortages have been reported in Sochi, where major power cuts occurred yesterday due to heavy snowfall, a spokesman for the Unified Energy System of Russia power utility told Interfax on Thursday morning..

Sochi has been reconnected to the national grid, he said.

Two power lines were launched at 1:20 a.m. and 3:30 a.m., Moscow time, he said.

Electricity is being connected to all of the city’s energy facilities. Repairs have been completed in other populated areas on the Black Sea coats and are continuing in individual localities, the Emergency Situations Ministry told Interfax on Thursday.
