Integral Systems Announces a CCS-C Contract Modification to Support the U.S. Air Force's WGS Satellite Program

LANHAM, Md., Feb. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Integral Systems, Inc. , today announced the award by the U.S. Air Force of a $4.5 million cost plus award fee modification to the CCS-C (Command and Control System-Consolidated) effort to support the WGS [Wideband Global SATCOM (Satellite Communications)] Program.

This change provides additional end-user capability for WGS-specific functions, including security enhancements and on-orbit satellite command procedures to support the first WGS launch in 2007. "This modification provides the final set of CCS-C baseline enhancements in preparation for the transition to Air Force operations of the first WGS satellite in fiscal year 2007," stated Barry Grasso, Integral Systems' Deputy Program Manager for CCS- C. "The security capabilities and additional on-orbit command procedures enhance an already robust CCS-C capability."

The CCS-C Program upgrades the capability to command and control the Air Force's communication satellites, including the DSCS (Defense Satellite Communication System), Milstar (Military Strategic and Tactical Relay), AEHF (Advanced Extremely High Frequency), and WGS satellites. The results contained in this submission were generated in whole, or in part, through work supporting the MCSW [MILSATCOM (Military Satellite Communications) Systems Wing].
