Amish Naturals Initiates Full-Scale Pasta Production at State-of-the-Art Facility
Posted on: Monday, 12 February 2007, 12:00 CST
Amish Naturals, Inc. (OTCBB:AMNT) today announced it has initiated full-scale production of its full line of premium, organic, Amish-produced pastas at its newly constructed, state-of-the-art plant, located here. The production line started on schedule, and is running seamlessly to produce and package the five varieties of fettuccine that are expected to ship to organic, natural and specialty retailers starting in early Spring.
The Company also announced the formal commencement of its retail sales operation with a webcast today to a national sales force under the auspices of Acosta's Natural/Specialty Sales, LLC division, founded exclusively to serve manufacturers of natural, organic, gourmet and ethnic foods. Acosta is the industry leader, serving more than 1,300 consumer packaged-goods companies, and representing more number one and number two brands than any other sales agency in North America. Its sales force expects to start making presentations to key natural and organic retailers this week.
"Achieving timely and flawless production start-up is a big moment for Amish Naturals. We've been planning and developing for quite some time, but it only becomes real when the line starts moving," said Amish Naturals CEO, David Skinner, Sr. According to Don Alarie, the Vice President of Sales and Marketing, "We are delighted to enter into the marketplace. Our sales force is primed to go, and we're expecting strong response from retailers."
Amish Naturals' five initial varieties of fettuccine include Plain, Tomato Basil, Garlic Parsley, Whole Wheat, and Fiber-Rich. Each is CCOF and USDA certified organic, and Triangle K™ PARVE certified kosher. Every strand of Amish Naturals pasta starts out as durum wheat and other premium ingredients from certified organic farms. At the Company's Amish-tended, state-of-the-art production facility in bucolic northern Ohio, these ingredients meld with each other, along with ultra-purified well water, to form paper-thin sheets, which are then cut into individual strands and delicately air dried to preserve flavor and texture.
