It’s Going to Get Cold
By Bryon Okada, Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Texas
Feb. 13–Arctic air should sweep through the area just before sunrise this morning, bringing gusty winds and temperatures in the 40s. Then it’s going to get cold. By the time Wednesday morning rolls around, lows should be in the 20s, and there’s a chance for light snow. “It looks like it will be north of the Metroplex area — possibly in Wise, Collin and Denton counties,” said Jennifer Dunn, meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Fort Worth. Wednesday’s highs will be in the upper 30s. Overnight lows will dip into the low 20s, meaning light snow is again possible for northern counties Thursday morning. Record lows are in the teens, so we’re not breaking new ground here. Precipitation should have passed by Thursday evening, and the weekend forecast is dry with highs in the 50s.
