American Eagle Airlines Conducting Pilot Interviews in Orlando and Melbourne, Fla.

FORT WORTH, Texas, Feb. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- American Eagle Airlines, the regional affiliate of American Airlines, will be pre-screening applicants and scheduling interviews for pilot positions at the 18th Annual International Women In Aviation (WIA) Conference on Feb. 15-17 at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort in Walt Disney World, Fla.

On Feb. 21, American Eagle will schedule and interview qualified applicants for pilot positions during the 19th Annual Employer Day at the Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Fla. Recruiters will be at the American Eagle booth in the Clemente Center from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. EST. Employer Day is open to all Florida Institute of Technology students and alumni.
A new benefit which American Eagle pilots can enjoy is the flexibility in a choice of domicile, with confirmation prior to training. Eagle domiciles are based in Boston, Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, Los Angeles, Miami, New York City and San Juan, P.R. To qualify for an interview with American Eagle, a pilot must meet the following minimum requirements:
* Commercial Pilot Certification with Multi-engine and Instrument ratings * Total fixed-wing time in excess of 800 hours * Multi-engine fixed-wing time in excess of 100 hours * Recent flying experience * Current FAA First Class Medical * IFR Currency * FCC License * Possess the ability to work in the U.S. * Possess the ability to travel in and out of the U.S. to all cities/countries served by American Eagle * A valid passport * Ability to relocate * Ability to work weekends, nights, shifts, holidays, and overnight trips * Age 21+
