Nascent Food Service Opens Distribution Center in Ensenada
Nascent Food Service (OTCBB:NCTW), a company seeking to become one of the largest food distributorships in Mexico, announced today that it has opened a full service warehouse and distribution center in Ensenada, Baja, Mexico, and named food industry executive, Eduardo Ortiz Lopez as the General Manager in that location.
The opening of the Ensenada distribution center allows more efficient and cost effective distribution to the whole municipality of Ensenada which stretches from the Pacific Ocean on the West to The Sea of Cortez on the East. Sandro Piancone, CEO of Nascent Food Service, stated that “Opening our distribution center in Ensenada will allow Nascent to better serve the whole area around Ensenada, which is becoming a significant economic power in Mexico.” Mr. Piancone went on to state that “The Ensenada region’s economy is becoming very diverse, relying not only on tourism and its significant fishing industries, but also on a growing industrial base — not to mention this region is the source of 90% of Mexico’s wine production.”
The opening of the Ensenada distribution center furthers the company’s goal of becoming the first National Distributor of imported food products in Mexico. Nascent now has six strategically located distribution centers located in San Diego, Miami, Tijuana, Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Penasco, and now Ensenada.
Ensenada is a thriving sea port of approximately 413,000 people that has long been a popular resort destination. Ensenada sits on the western coast of Baja California, Mexico about 60 miles south of International Border with the United States, only a 90 minute drive from the greater San Diego area. The Ensenada area produces 90% of the wine produced in Mexico with 9 wineries in the area.
