Feb. 17–In honor of Dr. Seuss’ birthday, the Kuna Library is celebrating with a night of green eggs and ham on March 1.

Special guest readers will delight children with a Pajama Story time straight from Seussville. Make sure to wear your pajamas and bring your daring taste buds for a sampling of the green stuff.

“We serve several hundred people green eggs and ham,” said Anne Hankins, library director, who noted that the event is a 14-year tradition at the Kuna Library.

“They’re real pretty green,” Hankins said of the green eggs library staff cook up on a skillet. “They’re kind of pistachio green.”

Thing One and Thing Two, characters from the Dr. Seuss “Cat in the Hat” book, will be there to join in the fun and cause some mischief.

The celebration is in conjunction with the Read Across America Proclamation for the city of Kuna.
