Attendant Fired After Sex on Plane
The Australian flight attendant who said she had a midair sexual encounter in an airplane’s bathroom with actor Ralph Fiennes was fired by Qantas Tuesday.
The airline dismissed Lisa Robertson after she gave British tabloid newspapers an account of the encounter with the star of The English Patient during a flight from Australia to India last month, the Telegraph said.
Qantas Airways announced today that flight attendant Ms. Lisa Robertson’s employment contract to operate on Qantas aircraft had been terminated, the airline said in a one-line statement.
Robertson claimed in accounts given to Sunday tabloids that there had been instant chemistry between herself and Fiennes and that after the encounter in the bathroom, they made love in Fiennes’ hotel room in India.
Robertson said her behavior was inappropriate, but she did not regret the encounter.
