Feb. 20–A man believed to be responsible for a string of robberies across King and Snohomish Counties during recent weeks was arrested in Mountlake Terrace on Sunday.

The 40-year-old man is being held at the King County Jail for violation of his Department of Corrections probation. He has not yet been booked on the robberies.

He is believed to have robbed two pizza parlors, a gas station and a comic book store in King County between Feb. 9 and Feb. 17. He was armed in all of these robberies, said King County sheriff’s Sgt. John Urquhart.

He’s also believed to have participated in other robberies in Lynnwood, Redmond, Edmonds and unincorporated Snohomish County, authorities said.

On Valentine’s Day alone, the man allegedly robbed the Perfetto Espresso stand in Mountlake Terrace at gunpoint, and a Chevron gas station in Shoreline.

On Sunday, police from Lynnwood, Mountlake Terrace and the King County Sheriff’s Office tracked the man to the Studio 6 Extended Stay motel, in the 6000 244th Street Southwest, said Mountlake Terrace Assistant Police Chief Mark Connor.

A man believed to have been an accomplice in many of the robberies still hasn’t been arrested. A description of this man hasn’t been released.
