Ukraine Need Not Join Nato to Join Eu – Parliamentarian

BRUSSELS. Feb 20 (Interfax) – Ukraine does not need to join NATO to seek accession to the European Union but for many EU citizens Ukraine’s membership in NATO would be evidence that it is “a serious country,” European Parliament member Michal Kaminski told reporters in Brussels on Tuesday.
Kaminski also argued NATO membership would be a public relations asset for Ukraine in Europe.
