O2 will no longer sell new contracts in Phones4U stores after the mobile phone company signed a deal with retail rival Carphone Warehouse. The move follows Vodafone’s decision to sell new contracts exclusively in Phones4U stores and confirms a trend whereby mobile phone operators are trying to squeeze better deals out of third-party retailers to cut costs.
