Virgin Cautious Over Crash
February 27, 2007
VIRGIN Trains, owned by Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Group and Scottish transport group Stagecoach, said it was too early to predict the financial impact from disruption caused by last Friday’s fatal crash in Cumbria.
The joint venture operates the London to Glasgow west coast line on which the accident happened.
Initial investigations concluded Network Rail was at fault for the condition of the points that caused the crash.
Shares in Stagecoach slipped 12p at 16112p.
