I-5 Lane Closures Today, Thursday

Parts of Interstate 5 south of Bellingham will be closed today and Thursday as road crews fix guardrails, according to the state Department of Transportation.

Today, the left southbound lane will be closed near the Bow Hill truck scale from about 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

On Thursday, the left northbound lane near Lake Samish will be closed from about 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

State officials caution that drivers should watch for crews working near the highway and pay attention as they pass the work zone.

Drivers can get real time traffic and weather information by dialing 5-1-1 from most phones. TTY users can call 1-800-833-6388.
