CSX Transportation Names Lisa Mancini As Vice President-Strategic Infrastructure Initiatives

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., March 1 /PRNewswire/ -- CSX Transportation (CSXT) today announced the appointment of Lisa Mancini to the new role of vice president-strategic infrastructure initiatives.
Mancini, who joined the company in 2003, will lead efforts to develop and implement freight rail network solutions to help cities and states address transportation issues related to population changes, economic development needs, environmental challenges and other factors. Mancini will report to Michael Ward, CSX chairman, president and chief executive officer.
"Lisa will help our communities meet their transportation needs while increasing the capability of our freight rail network to accommodate projected growth in demand over the next several years," said Ward. "Her business experience in public, private and operating environments makes her uniquely qualified to help achieve the mutually beneficial objectives of CSXT and the communities it serves."
Mancini, who was most recently vice president-labor relations, is a veteran transportation executive with broad experience in the public arena. Among her previous assignments, she has served as the Deputy Executive Director of the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency, Chief Operating Officer of the San Francisco Municipal Railway, and as a key operating executive for the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority.
She holds a bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University of Virginia and a master's degree in City and Regional Planning from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard.
