Mexicana De Aviacion Expands Its Routes

LOS ANGELES, March 8 /PRNewswire/ — Mexicana de Aviacion, Mexico’s first airline and leader in the international market, announced today the launch of its new non-stop service from Los Angeles to Monterrey, Nuevo Leon twice a week effective March 17th.

Mexicana’s new non-stop service from Los Angeles to Cualiacan, Sinaloa, initiates service in April. Departing Los Angeles on Mexicana flight 429 on Tuesdays and Saturdays at 2:45am, arriving Culiacan at 6:05am, returning from Culiacan on Mexicana Flight 428 Mondays and Fridays at 10:10pm, arriving Los Angeles at 11:35pm.

The addition of these new flights represent our continued commitment to offer our passengers convenient schedules to the most popular destinations throughout Mexico, whether traveling for business or for pleasure you now have more to choose from.

Los Angeles residents will find easy access to visit relatives and friends and continue with their business affairs. On the leisure aspect Monterrey visitors will find fine museums, and for those with an interest in colonial architecture, may visit Marco Plaza, a compilation of several smaller plazas that showcase many 18th and 19th century buildings. Among other attractions travelers can enjoy are Culiacan, the perfect setting for hunting and fishing, Imala’s hot springs and proximity to several dams and reservoirs allow for fishing of large mouth bass all year round.

It is important to highlight that as a result of its growth and its dynamic business trade between Los Angeles these additional flights become an important component of Mexicana’s routes, considering California is ranked as the 7th economy worldwide.

In an attempt to simplify your travel and airport check in process Mexicana Airlines reminds passengers traveling between the US and Mexico that in compliance with the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative effective January 23, all US citizens are required to hold a valid passport upon departure. Also US legal residents traveling from the US are required to hold a valid passport from their country of origin or any acceptable document from the US government such as the U.S. Permanent Resident card (Form I-551). Mexican citizens residing in the US the “Matricula Consular” continues to be a valid document to enter Mexico.
