STRASBOURG. March 13 (Interfax) – Sources in Strasbourg, the French city where the European Court of Human Rights is located, told Interfax on Tuesday that the Russian representative to the court, Pavel Laptev, was leaving his post.

The sources did not elaborate.

Interfax has been unable to contact Laptev or obtain any official Russian confirmation that he is leaving.

Laptev was appointed Russian representative to the court in November 1999 and was reappointed in February 2005.
