Iberia Airlines of Spain Licenses the PROS O&D Cargo Revenue Management System

Iberia Airlines has signed a contract with PROS to implement a state-of-the-art PROS O&D Cargo Revenue Management System. The selection of PROS was made after an extensive evaluation of all available solutions and providers.

"As a growing sector of Iberia's business portfolio, a corporate decision was made to invest in Yield Management technology to manage our cargo revenues according to the forecasted Demand," said Mr. Alfonso Fuertes, Iberia Managing Director Cargo. "We undertook very rigorous due diligence in choosing the best partner, PROS, to ensure we successfully achieve our business objectives," Fuertes further added.

The PROS O&D Cargo Revenue Management System is a modular business solution designed to permit the airline to adapt to the evolving commercial needs.

At the heart of the solution are sophisticated origin -- destination (O&D) demand forecasting by weight and volume, capacity forecasting of spatial dimensions and positions available, and network optimization to help maximize revenue associated with the O&D demand and available spatial capacity.

The PROS O&D Cargo Revenue Management System provides the capability to assist in managing and optimizing short and medium-term bookings with real-time dynamic pricing.
