Cost Plus World Market Brings Global Goods to the Rio Grande Valley
Cost Plus World Market, a leading one-stop, home entertainment-shopping and decor retailer with nearly 50 years of dominance in the import area and recently nominated as “Best Import Store,” opened a new location in West Albuquerque, New Mexico on March 22 at the Cottonwood Commons shopping center. Grand Opening celebrations will be held at the new store, located at 3601 Airport Road, Thursday, March 22 through Sunday, March 25 with free food samples, wine tasting, live music, giveaways and balloons for the kids.

Thursday, March 22nd kick-off activities included a grand opening ribbon cutting at 8:45am; first 50 customers receive instant savings scratch-off coupons with values worth up to $200; food and beverage sampling throughout the day; live music; “hot buys” and wine tasting.
The celebration continues Friday, March 23, with Volunteer Appreciation Day. The first customer to find the “We think the World of Volunteers” sign hidden in the store will be personally rewarded with a $50 gift card plus $250 in gift cards for the non-profit organization they volunteer for. A wine tasting will also be featured in the afternoon.
Saturday, March 24th and Sunday, March 25th start off with our Fortune Cookie Giveaway. The first 250 customers each day receive a fortune cookie containing gift certificates worth up to $25. Local radio station 100.3 — The Peak will be broadcasting live on Saturday from the new store.
