Delta Air Lines’ service at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport will expand with new flights for customers in Owensboro, Ky.; Cape Girardeau, Mo.; and Jackson, Tenn.

The new service, to be operated by Delta Connection carrier Big Sky Airlines, is set to begin this summer at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky, Delta’s second-largest hub.

“Delta’s expanded service from Cincinnati promises to bring economic benefit and improved worldwide access to customers in three communities that for the first time will enjoy service to a major Delta hub,” said Bob Cortelyou, Delta vice president of network planning.

“Delta recognizes the critical need for air service in communities of all sizes and is pleased to reconnect three growing middle-America communities to Delta’s second-largest flight hub and one of the top 10 largest hubs in the country.”

Big Sky Airlines recently was selected by the Department of Transportation to provide service to Owensboro, Cape Girardeau and Jackson under the Essential Air Service program.

Big Sky Airlines currently serves 18 cities in Montana, Idaho, Oregon, Wisconsin, Colorado, Wyoming and Illinois.
