India's Andhra Bank is offering its customers and those with a Visa card the opportunity to purchase Kingfisher Airlines tickets through its network of 500 ATMs.
The facility incorporated into the bank's ATMs, called Quik Ticket, allows those holding an Andhra Bank debit or ATM card, or any Visa card, to book a flight with Kingfisher Airlines.
Customers wishing to purchase a flight through an ATM will need to first ring up Kingfisher Airlines to make a seat reservation, and then request to make a payment via an Andhra Bank cash machine. The customer will then receive a 10-digit booking reference number. According to Finextra, the customer then has six hours to make the payment with an appropriate card, upon receipt of the reference number.
The customer must key in the booking reference number after selecting the e-ticketing payment option. On completion, the ATM will print out a receipt for the customer, which will be shown at the airport to obtain a boarding pass.
