Omaha Police Department Names Officers of the Year

Mar. 28–Officers Diane Barton and Mark Negrete of the Omaha Police Department were named 2006 officers of the year at an awards luncheon today.
They were selected from those people named officers of the month throughout 2006. Each received a check for $1,000 and a plaque.
All of the monthly honorees also were introduced at the seventh annual awards luncheon, sponsored by the Omaha Police Foundation at the Marriott Hotel.
The 2006 monthly honorees:

February: James Barnes, Darren Cunningham, Dave Cyronek, Paul Hasiak, Cynthia Johnston, and Kelly Murphy
March: Michael Davis
April: Travis Oetter
May: Dawn Pollreis
June: Billie Jo Ceglar

August: Michael Curd and Brian Gerrity
September: Adele Tomsu
October: Diane Barton and Mark Negrete
November: Ken Randall
December: Christopher Brown and Chad Simmons
