Verizon Wireless Begins Hiring Process Today For New Huntsville Call Center Employees

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., March 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Verizon Wireless, operator of the nation's most reliable wireless network, began recruiting customer service professionals today to fill its new 152,000 square foot call center and state headquarters, which is under construction. The company broke ground on the center in February, which is located at Thornton Research Park. When fully staffed, 1,300 jobs will be housed in the facility including customer service representatives and supervisors, tech support, government customer service teams, and corporate sales employees.
The first set of positions was posted online today. Those interested in career opportunities should submit their resumes online at http://www.verizonwireless.com/careers. The first class of new employees will begin orientation and training in July.
Those interested in learning more about the available career opportunities can attend the company's "Verizon Wireless Meet & Greet" event on Tuesday, March 27 at the Huntsville Marriott, located at 5 Tranquility Blvd., from 4 pm - 8 pm. Company representatives will be available to provide information and answer questions about the new Huntsville facility, career opportunities, the comprehensive compensation and benefits package, and the hiring process.
