Trina Solar Announces Successful Commercial Launch of Its Solar Photovoltaic Cell Line

CHANGZHOU, China, April 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Trina Solar Limited ("Trina Solar" or the "Company"), a leading vertically integrated manufacturer of solar photovoltaic (PV) products founded in 1997, announced the successful commercial launch of its newly installed solar PV cell line today.
The 50MW cell line had been under testing during the first quarter of 2007 with positive initial trials. After further fine tuning, the commercial production started successfully as planned on April 2nd with average cell efficiencies of 16.3%. Four additional solar PV cell lines are currently planned and are expected to reach its target capacity of 150MW by the end of 2007.

The commercial launch of the Company's cell line in April is an important milestone for the Company as it completes the vertical integration of its manufacturing process.
