Metro Passengers Facing Disruption
April 12, 2007
TRAIN and Metro passengers bound for Wearside from Tyneside face disruption for four days, as engineering work is carried out on rail tunnels in Sunderland. Southbound Metro trams are terminating at Pelaw, and Northern Rail services are ending at Heworth and Seaham, either side of Sunderland, with replacement bus services in operation until normal rail services resume from 5.25am on Saturday.
