Verticent, Inc., a leading developer of enterprise software solutions for small-to-medium size manufacturers and distributors, announced today that Peachtree Metals Company (http://www.peachtreemetals.com/), a manufacturer of stainless steel flat bar and value-added products for distribution, will implement the Verticent ERP applications.

Shelley Turner, Operations Manager at Peachtree Metals offered, “Like a lot of companies in the steel industry, we were running legacy software that no longer met our needs nor was the right platform to fuel our continued market growth. We have made tremendous investments in the best equipment to meet our customers’ needs. We feel like we have done the same thing in terms of business software, we’ve selected the best metals ERP software available and are looking forward to a long relationship with Verticent.” She added, “We were continually impressed with the Verticent product breadth and depth, but ultimately it’s about the level of customer service that a company can provide that validates the decision. After speaking with four installed United States metal service center Verticent customers, we had validated that Verticent was and is the right partner for Peachtree Metals.”

Scott Galloway, President of Verticent stated “It’s a pretty interesting time right now in the metal service center market. Many service centers implemented their last ERP solution in the late 90′s, prior to Y2K. Now, we are seeing many of those companies evaluate new ERP software, with a focus on software flexibility and adaptability to meet unique business needs. Our Microsoft based contemporary technology platform provides an inherent ability to tailor, configure and adapt the Verticent ERP software to the specific needs of each metal service center that we partner with. This in turn allows companies to offer more products, more services and a higher level of customer service without having to increase head count.” He added “Peachtree Metals is an important addition to our customer family. They join a vibrant customer community within the metals industry who offer value added services not only on stainless steel, like Peachtree Metals, but on a wide array of alloys like titanium, copper, brass and aluminum.”
