NuVim, a manufacturer of nutritional beverages in both powder mix and ready-to-drink form, is to trial its products in General Nutritional Centers in the US.
NuVim will be sold in stores on a test beginning in April in the Tampa, Florida market. The company will support the initial test stores with 60 second television advertising.
In addition to the television advertising, NuVim, which sells its products in vanilla, chocolate and strawberry flavors, will provide in-store sampling programs in a bid to demonstrate the product's versatility when added to yogurt, cereal, juice or milk.
Commenting on the venture, NuVim CEO, Richard Kundrat said: "We certainly welcome adding the retail element of GNC stores to our selling strategy of the powder mix products."
NuVim is sold in powder mix form and in the refrigerated juice section in half gallon juice cartons in 2,100 supermarkets.
