Alcatel-Lucent Recognizes Two Partners in North America With 2006 'Breakthrough Partner' Award

PARIS, April 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Alcatel-Lucent (Euronext Paris and NYSE: ALU) is pleased to recognize two business partners, Plexus Com/Group and LightRiver, as the winners of the first annual 2006 Breakthrough Partner award for Alcatel-Lucent in North America. The Breakthrough Partner award recognizes partners who exemplify the Alcatel-Lucent vision of convergence and expanded solution selling.

Plexus Com/Group, with headquarters in Baltimore, MD was recognized for delivering significant year-over-year revenue growth in 2006 -- more than triple their 2005 business -- by expanding its sales across the Alcatel-Lucent solutions offering. Among other achievements, Plexus also added a focus in key vertical markets including state and local government and higher education to their traditional education market reach.

Additionally, LightRiver Technologies, based in Lafayette, CA, was recognized for their innovative and superior customer outreach and for their achievements in customer satisfaction and revenue growth.
