Unions Back Bid

UNIONS yesterday backed Labour’s Holyrood election campaign – but called for more powers for the Scottish Parliament.
Kevin Lindsay, from rail union ASLEF, said Parliament should have more powers over trade and industry, transport and employment legislation.
He said: “The status quo is not an option – the Nationalist movement is gaining momentum. If Scotland is to stay within the United Kingdom, she must have greater control over her destiny.”
