19 Miners Trapped in China Mines

Two separate coal mine disasters in China Friday trapped 19 workers underground, the China Daily reported.
In the first incident, a coal mine in southwest China’s Chongqing Municipality collapsed, trapping eight miners, the newspaper said quoting sources in the local government.
In the other accident, the China Daily said 11 miners were trapped following a gas explosion in a mine in Handan City, in northern China’s Hebei Province.
No other details were immediately available.
