Sainsbury’s Bans Artificial Colours

SAINSBURY’S is to remove all artificial colours and flavours from its own-brand soft drinks, the company said yesterday.The move will affect 120 varieties of squash, cordials, mixers and fizzy drinks.Low calorie drinks will contain sucralose – which is made from sugar – instead of the sweetener aspartame. The use of natural ingredients comes in response to customer demand and concerns about the effect of E numbers on children.
