[Ukrainian President] Viktor Yushchenko has written a letter to [Prime Minister] Viktor Yanukovych, asking him to cancel preferential meat imports to special economic zones in Donetsk Region. The president told the prime minister that the renewal of preferences for Donetsk Region by court significantly affects the local market and causes great damage to the budget.

The president said 50 per cent of meat imports are coming to Ukraine through these special economic zones. Yushchenko wants to hear a report on any actions undertaken within 20 days.
